The tool will allow for the visual extension of a real stage equipped with sound and light infrastructure and to create a stage anywhere, such as a cultural space or a town square, with only a smartphone and headphones. These immersive formats will rely on volumetric and 3D video, spatial audio and technologies to foster the engagement and phygital social interaction of artists and audiences.

The future of media experiences poses a series of thrilling challenges, and the maturity of eXtended Reality (XR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies provides a unique window of opportunity for the European Creative and Cultural Sector (CCS) to reimagine digital co-creation, interaction and engagement possibilities. In TRANSMIXR, we aim to create a range of human-centric tools for remote content production and consumption via social virtual reality. The TRANSMIXR consortium includes 22 organizations from 12 European countries holding advanced and complementary expertise and skillsets in European research, media and innovation programs, as well as in-depth knowledge of AI & XR and their application to the media sector.
